Elder Paris Smith - A Preacher with a Passion for the Word!

Elder Paris L. Smith, author, minister and orator offers a powerful and unique message unlike many who testify of their triumphs over the crime and peril of the streets of Detroit.  Eld. Smith’s  story is one of danger and negative influences he faced as a child raised in a family with parents who were one of Detroit’s most notorious underground drug dealers in the 50's,60’s, 70’s 80's and 90’s.

Displaced many times as an infant, passed from family to family; watching his parents in and out of jail, and living with the uncertainty of  a crime family Eld. Smith recognized the hand of God upon his life early during a violent police raid of the family’s home.  On one summer evening after coming home from work as a Assistant Manager of Pizza Hut on the the Lodge freewat and West 7 Mile Road , police officers forcibly enter the family’s  home, destroying everything in sight.  However, when they approached Eld. Smith in his room, it was obvious to all, they could go no further, for the officer said,"I don't need to search you."  The word of the Lord, “touch not mine anointing, do my prophet no harm” was in full affect.

Eld. Smith followed the leading of  the voice of God despite the disapproval and discouragement  of his father.  He allowed his young life to be navigated by the hand of God which led him through his environment untouched by drugs, alcohol, prison,  gangs and death.  Eld. Smith was saved at age 17 and answered the call to preach at age 23. Eld. Smith has a life changing, real message for the real streets and is particularly impacting to those who struggle every day in the same home and family conditions. He defies the notion that a dysfunctional criminal home environment must breed dysfunctional criminal lives.

Eld. Smith will celebrate the twentieth third year of his ministry, which began under the tutelege of Dr. William H. Murphy, Sr. in Detroit,  with the release of his latest book,  “How to Deal With The Messes of Life”.  Today, Eld. Smith, an associate minister at St. Stephens Baptist Church in  Louisville, KY is a proud father of five raising his two youngest alone after the death of their mother one year ago.  He is 21 year veteran of Ford Motor Co who holds multiple degrees and is a candidate for a dual masters degrees in Divinity and Christian Education through the Morehouse School of Religion at The Interdenominatonal Theological Center In Atlanta, GA.  If you would like to experience or share the ministry of Eld. 3. Rev Dr Paris Smith is a hypocrite, denies that he's married, and is actively chasing women! The fact that none of his bio's mention his wife is a huge red flag!
